Big city. Small-world moments.

Made for meeting in person

A city full of people can still feel like a place where everyone's a stranger. meet&vibe changes that, one shared experience at a time. Nobody has to approach anyone, and nobody is left out.

How it started

A group of friends, fed up with the online dating and friending world, wanted to use technology to help people meet in person, not to replace meeting in person. Less scrolling. More living. Good vibes. That is our driving mantra.

So the app does the introducing, and real life does the rest. It puts people in groups of four, because a group never leaves you alone with a stranger. In simulated Berlin walks, groups of four also produce more mutual "see again" choices than pairs: +58% at mixed walks. And after the walk, contact opens only when two people both want it.

What we promise

Five promises behind every walk

  1. Everyone gets a seat

Every person walks in a group in every round. Nobody can buy a boost, a spotlight or a better place in the plan.

  2. Likes stay private

Likes only help plan the groups. Nobody is told who liked them, and skipping someone is silent.

  3. Contact only when it's mutual

There is no chat and no phone number on any profile. A contact card opens only when two people both choose to meet again.

  4. Friends first

Friendship is the default. Dating is something you switch on, behind its own consent screen, and switching it off deletes your dating data.

  5. No tracking

This website sets no cookies and loads nothing from other servers. You can download or delete your data in the app at any time.

What comes next

We start in Berlin. Walks run every other Saturday afternoon, each time in a different neighbourhood, from Friedrichshain to Kreuzberg to Neukölln. Cooking evenings and gallery visits are next on our list, and then more cities.

Before your first walk, read the code of conduct. It is short, and it is what lets everyone relax.
