Code of conduct

Good company, every round

A walk works when everyone can relax. These rules hold in the app, at every walk and at anything we organise around it. Everyone accepts them at sign-up, and every ticket page repeats them.

What we ask of everyone

  • Be yourself

Your photos show you, recently and with your face clearly visible. The organizer compares your face with your profile photo at check-in. You must be 18 or over, and the organizer may ask for ID.

  • Share the conversation

Four people, twenty minutes. Ask, listen and leave room for the quietest person in your group.

  • Take no for an answer

A no needs no reason, and "Not this time" is a full answer. Nobody has to hand out a phone number on the spot: a mutual choice after the walk does that for you.

  • Ask before a photo

Ask before you photograph anyone, and before you post a photo with someone else in it.

  • Look after the group

Stay with your group, mind the traffic, and tell the organizer if someone seems unwell or unsafe.

  • Come, or cancel

Your group is planned around you. If you cannot come, cancel before the walk. If you are running late, the app puts you in the next round.

Zero tolerance

Any of these ends your membership at once, and we cancel your tickets.

  • Violence, or threatening anyone with it
  • Touching or sexual contact without consent
  • Threats and intimidation, in person or online
  • Spiking anyone's drink
  • Sharing intimate images of anyone without their consent

Everything else

Other breaches follow three steps. Each step comes with a written reason.

  1. Warning. We tell you what happened and what has to change.
  2. Pause. You cannot book walks for a set time.
  3. End of membership. Your account closes and your tickets are cancelled.

You can appeal any decision. Someone who was not involved reviews it.

How to report

  • At the walk, tell the organizer. In an emergency, call 112. The app shows both numbers during the walk.
  • In the app, use the report button on any profile, or in the vote after the walk.

Anyone you block or report is never put in a group with you again, at any walk. If they hold a ticket for a walk you booked, the app tells you before the day.
